At this year's AGM  a full committee, save a Rambles' Secretary, was elected. This does reflect the continuing commitment of some stalwarts who, in not too long a time, would like to find others to fulfill their roles. Perhaps  you would care to consider volunteering for a future role? - you do not have to wait until the next AGM. . The main discussion centred on our extensive walks programme and its definition. Some concern was expressed at the definitions used (the A, B, etc.,), the seemingly doubling up of similarly classed walks on the same day, and the apparent absence of coordination in the whole programme. This, in some measure, does reflect the absence of a Rambles' Secretary, a role which in recent times we have been unable to fill. Would you care to give it a go......please?  The matter will be addressed by the new committee. . (The task carried out by our Chairman and Secretary of typing up the programme, and being responsible for its printing and distribution was much praised)

At the moment Gedling Group has probably one of the most comprehensive walks' programmes in the County. As a group we are always looking for new leaders to come forward to share their walking experience with the group. We need you to keep our group alive. This can only be achieved if you are willing to contribute to this programme of activities. Please, please,  do not leave it to others.
